The Anti Imperialist Front participated in the conference organized by Samidoun (Solidarity Network for Palestinian Prisoners) in Brussels, Belgium on October 27.
Charlotte Kates, the international coordinator of Samidoun, gave the opening speech.
She was only able to attend via the internet. This is because she and Khalid Barakat (international coordinator of the Campaign to Free Ahmat Sa’adat (imprisoned PFLP leader)) were detained and then deported two days ago when they tried to enter the Netherlands from Canada.
Charlotte emphasized that this move by the European Union will not stop the struggle. She said that it is possible to resist imperialism.
Other speakers at the conference were the representative of “Palestine Vaincra” from France, which was first banned by the French Ministry of Interior and then forced to withdraw the ban.
Mohammed Khatib, Samidoun’s European Coordinator, and Samidoun’s representative in Berlin also spoke.
The conference focused on the hunger strike of Palestinian prisoners against “administrative detention”.
Administrative detention is imprisonment for no reason and for no fixed period of detention, which is a grave injustice.
On October 28, the AİF participated in a conference organized by Secours Rouge International (international Red Aid). The conference talked about the commonalities of the resistance in Europe, Palestine and the Arab region and how these wars feed each other.
At the event, leaflets about the 11s of Greece were distributed, posters were hung and a solidarity and support video was filmed.
On October 29, Samidoun and Masar Badil marched from Lulumba square, which opened in 2018, to the European Parliament to protest the EU’s support for Israel.
At the end of the march, which was very enthusiastic and attended by 4000 people, on the back of a truck in front of the EP, many speakers spoke.
Among them were Eurpopalestine, Samidoun, religious orthodox Jews against Zionism.
Also speaking were representatives of the AİF and the Revolutionary Youth Europe.
Mohammed Khatib, representing Samidoun Europe, gave a very powerful speech:
“We are 2nd and 3rd generation Palestinians here in the Diaspora.
We are the alternative.
We reject the capitulating, compromising Palestinian Authority, Abbas.
The real representatives of the Palestinian people are here. We call you to join organizations that have a clear policy for Palestine. We reject the two-state solution. Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.
As the first, second and third generation in the Diaspora, we also have citizenship in European countries. But we will not give up our right to be the essential part of our people’s struggle.
We will defeat Israel, because defeating Israel means opposing US imperialism, Canada, colonial institutions and racism. We have to fight together and only together can we win. “
AIF representative said:
“We, the Anti Imperialist Front, stand for a one-state solution in Palestine. We do not accept the EU and US imperialism’s oppression of those who resist in Palestine.
We do not accept treatment of Charlotte Kates and Khalid Barakat. We condemn the murderous state of Israel. We are not terrorists. The real terrorists are the EU, US imperialism, collaborative governments and Zionism. George Ibrahim Abdallah, Ali Osman Kose have been imprisoned for 39 years. Currently 30 Palestinian prisoners, Ahmad Sa’adat and 11 Turkish revolutionary prisoners in Greece are on hunger strike. We call on everyone to attend the trial on November 16th. The struggle against imperialism, fascism and Zionism is not a crime. International solidarity is the greatest weapon of the peoples. “
In his speech, the representative of Revolutionary Youth in Europe saluted the Palestinian resistance.
“Their struggle is our struggle. The Palestinian people are the moral strength of the resisting peoples in their resistance against Zionist Israel and US imperialism.
AKP fascism is a friend of Israel and is a collaborator in the massacre of the Palestinian people. “
He demanded the freedom of 129 a/b prisoners Özgül Emre, İhsan Cibelik, Serkan Küpeli and Musa Aşoğlu and greeted George İbrahim Abdallah.
He ended his speech with the slogan “we are right, we will win”.
